State of the Bastards: The Wire

Erin: Everyone’s been saying how good it is. I’d like to see it!

Ryan: It’s almost in my Netflix queue.

Taylor: I watched some bootleg DVDs that Tucker brought back from Chinaville and it was awesome.

Tucker: Seen it. Love it. Have the Chinese bootleg DVDs.

MARCH 11th INTO THE FUTURE, and how about those Oscars, huh?

Hey boyfriends and girlfriends!

So it’s March 11th and you know what that means…it’s time for the second performance of our original sketch show “March Fourth Into the Future”! And we get it about the date! Yeah!

So, that’s happening at 8pm tonight at Improv Boston. You’ll love it if you like sci-fi, awful dates, robot violation, or Tracey Chapman. C’mon down.

In other news, the Bastards are going to be filming a project at BU next week for a Masters Thesis. Not one of ours, as we prefer sitting at Barnes and Noble and pouring over Anne Rice novels to enrolling in a formalized education program, but it should be fun anyway.

Stay tuned for more STUFF FROM US!

On a personal note, I guess I need to see The Hurt Locker.

xoxoxo

Taylor’s Tasty Tidbit #1

Taylor’s Tasty Tidbits will be a series of blog posts highlighting fun, exciting, and interesting facts about local eating experiences.

Today’s Tasty Tidbit comes to us thanks to Improv Boston’s Ben Scurria. The Blue Room restaurant on Hampshire St. in Cambridge offers an amazing wine special every Sunday night. Order any bottle of wine that is featured on their wine list and purchased through Central Bottle Wine (196 Mass Ave,Cambridge) and get it at retail cost. This is a great way to save some money while eating at a nice restaurant and also support a local business. Here’s a description of The Blue Room.

“Tucked away in Kendall Square, The Blue Room has been acquiring regulars from near and far by quietly and consistently producing some of the best food in Cambridge. Once part of the American Woven Hose factory, the subterranean dining room features exposed beams and an open kitchen where a wood burning grill sears dishes with Mediterranean, Asian and Latin American influences. By working directly with local farmers and “mom & pop” purveyors, The Blue Room’s kitchen crew is able to put the best and freshest ingredients on their frequently changing menu. Talented chefs have helped solidify its reputation for great, internationally-inspired American cuisine.”

About the Bastards

Bastards Inc. has been performing together since 2005 when we started our Thursday night show in the basement of the Cantab Lounge in Cambridge. The show became the casual epicenter of the boozy Boston Thursday night improv underground and, in 2008, moved to its new home at ImprovBoston.

For booking information or to request a performance slot at one of the Bastards shows, email us at info@bastardsinccomedy.com.
